France 2011 (Aug 6th-14th 2011)

A trip to Central France in the Burgundy/Auvergne area staying in Gannay sur Loire at the excellent site of Domaine du Bourg, offering B&B accommodation as well camping.

We will be travelling down to Portsmouth on the Saturday to catch the overnight ferry to Le Havre, arriving on Sunday and taking a leisurely ride through the French countryside before arriving at our accommodation late Sunday afternoon.

Monday will be a relaxing day so you can ‘do your own thing’ before we tour the local area from Tuesday till Friday, when we will depart, and head back up towards the coast ,taking in an overnight stop and catching the ferry back on Saturday afternoon from Le Havre.

We will be docking late on Saturday evening at Portsmouth, so we will have an overnight stop at a local Premier Inn, enjoy a leisurely meal and a beer before heading back home on Sunday.

The event costs will be on accommodation/ ferry costs and Breakfast only. 3 course evening meals can be had at the site for 16 euro per person. Details of the site can be found at www.domainedubourg.com

There is also a caravan available which will accommodate 2/3 persons. Camping is also available. Costs for these will be worked out separately if you wish to take up these options.

Prices have been arranged with the owners for the other accommodation and at the moment look like being as follows:-

£560 for a couple and £330 for an individual. This includes return ferry cost, accommodation in France plus on route overnight stops in the UK and France.

If you’re interested please forward your name to Bill Deacon with a copy to Anthony Lovell with your preference for accommodation. I.e. B&B, Camping, Caravan as soon as possible.

We will allow costs for the event to be paid over a period of time (yet to decided) but we will require a £50 non-refundable deposit by the end of January 2011. You will be able to pay this through WOODS.
