France 2012 (May 18-26)

This trip as been described as Boys only, that's not entirely true, it's just that the ladies are really attached to their en-suites and the Sunday night stop doesn't have them (and I can't guarantee the rest of the week), it does have secure parking, a Courtepaille restaurant next door and it's 4-5 miles from Cannes during the Film Festival.

The Basic Plan is the take the overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Le Havre on Friday 18th May and then ride to Paris, where we'll put the bike on the Autotrain at the Gare de Bercy, then hop up the street to the Gare de Lyon and take the TGV to Nice, we'll stop the night in the Ibis next to the station and those up to it will spend the evening/night on the town. On the Sunday we'll collect the bikes and explore the surrounding area including Monaco and Cannes then stop the night at Antibes. Monday we'll head up the N85 through Grasse and into the Verdon to end up in Avignon for a few days and a little sightseeing Pont du Gard, Palais du Papes, and le Baux etc. As we head for home we'll take a run through the Tarn to Millau, and on the run up some of what we missed out on this year.

As you can imagine accommodation in the Nice - Cannes area will book up really quickly so if you'd like to join us please let me know ASAP.
