The Great Big Loch Ness Monster Weekend (Apr 15-18 2011)

Following the success of the Scotland trips over the last three years, it has been decided to once again visit the dramatic landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and some of the greatest biking roads in the UK . For our 2011 trip, we are again basing ourselves in Strathpeffer, a small Victorian spa resort about 20 miles north west of Inverness. This location gives us easy access to the more northerly parts of Scotland and also leaves the Isle of Skye and the West coast within easy reach. As usual, all are welcome to attend regardless of make of motorcycle. The format will be as in 2010: we will get you to the hotel, and everyone will be provided with suggested riding routes, but thereafter everyone is free to go wherever and with whoever they choose, whether that be riding solo or part of a group. Whilst the main aim of the weekend is to ride some of the best biking roads in the British Isles, there is a regular bus service to Inverness for anyone wishing to have a day away from the bike.

Accommodation

We shall again be staying at the Strathpeffer Hotel, The Square, Strathpeffer, IV14 9DF. The price is £90 for three nights bed and breakfast per person sharing. For those who require single occupancy there is a £10 per night supplement.

Hotel Booking

In order to attain these discounted rates, i t has been agreed that we will be in charge of all bookings and collection of deposits (£30 per person sharing or £40 for a single room) at the shop and a block booking will be made with the hotel. All you have to do is fill in the attached booking form and take (or post) it into Phillip's showroom with your deposit to secure your place on this trip. Please complete the booking form as fully as possible and if you have any queries, contact William McAleese using the contact details shown below. Early booking is advised as there is an upper limit on the number of bikes / people we can accommodate on this trip.

All bookings must be completed by Monday 31st January 2011 to attain these rates as the hotel will levy a surcharge of £5 per person per night for late bookings.

Ferry Booking

We have obtained the following discounted rates from P&O Irish Ferries:-

• Bike & rider £70 return
• Pillion £15 return

These rates can only be obtained by using the attached P&O booking form which can be obtained at the shop or by emailing William McAleese at william.mcaleese@virgin.net All bookings must be received by P&O no later than Monday 31st January 2011.
