Triumph
Bonneville, T100, Scrambler & Thruxton
2008 sees the introduction of electronic fuel injection to Triumph's range of Modern Classics, making them fully compliant with Euro 3 regulations. Featuring new fuel tanks, throttle bodies and exhaust systems, the EFI system improves throttle response as well as making the bikes much cleaner and easier to start. The unique retro style of these iconic machines remains unchanged as the new throttle bodies have been carefully designed to look exactly like carburettors.
America, Speedmaster, Rocket III range
2008 also sees the introduction of EFI on the America and the Speedmaster, with the same benefits outlined above. They are also given completely restyled, seamless tanks with a capacity increase from 16.6 litres to 19.3 litres. The Rocket III and Classic are mechincally unchanged but get new colourways, and the Rocket III Touring makes it debut.
Daytona 675, Street Triple, Speed Triple, Sprint ST, Tiger
As well as the addition of the Street Triple there are a number of other updates. The Daytona get new colour schemes & decals for 2008 and a limited special edition - the black SE. The Sprint ST receives improved headlights, a steel fuel tank and modified footrests. The Tiger is unchanged this year except for a new colour - Blazing Orange. The Speed Triple sees the most changes this year with new wheels, headlights, handlebars, rear sub-frame, seat and body panels and new Brembo 4 piston radial brakes and black anodised forks. All this equates to a completely refreshed Speed Triple, ensuring its status as the definitive streetfighter.
